As a newly established 501(c)(3) non-profit organization we are currently in a phase of strengthening our foundation and building the brand that will define our work in the years ahead.  This year, our primary focus will be on growing our internal infrastructure, refining our mission, and establishing a sustainable model for our operations.  We are working diligently to ensure that our organization is in a strong position to support meaningful initiatives in the future.

**Exploring Deep Connections between culture, identity, and spirituality**

Bi-Annually, we host hands-on Native cooking classes where community members come together to learn traditional recipes and cooking techniques that have been passed down through generations. These classes not only preserve our rich culinary heritage but also provide a space for bonding and sharing stories.

**Self-Enrichment Programs**

Every decision we make and every initiative we pursue should align with our goal of promoting independence, self-determination and sustainable growth for Sweetwater Indigenous Community.  In doing so, we ensure that our actions contribute to long-lasting and meaningful change, empowering individuals and families to thrive without compromising their cultural identity or traditions.

**Bridging Cultural Divides**

At the heart of our organization is our unwavering commitment to empower Native American Communities.  Our mission is clear: to provide vital resources and support that fosters self-efficiency while ensuring the preservation of our rich cultural heritage and economic vitality.  The mission is the cornerstone of our work, and it reflects the deep respect we hold for the communities we serve.

**Community Feeding Programs**

We believe no one should go hungry, which is why we organize regular community meal events, we help replenish the food pantry located at God’s Grace Ministries with the help of other organizations and churches to those in need. These meals bring our community together while providing nourishment and care to our elders, families, and youth.

**Fellowship and Connection**

In a world that often pulls us apart, we place great value in coming together as a community. Our fellowship events create opportunities for connection, shared experiences, and building lasting relationships.  We hope to explore potential partnerships and collaborations in the future once we are more established

**Back-to-School Support**

Every year, we help students prepare for the school year by providing school supplies and backpacks filled with essentials. Our Back-to-School program ensures that children have the tools they need to succeed academically, while reinforcing the importance of education within our community.  Every fall we collaborate with other organizations to prepare students for the school year.  Sweetwater Outreach provides backpacks loaded with school supplies for donation.

**Thanksgiving Turkey Drive**

As a way, to give thanks and share with others, our annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive provides families with the ingredients for a traditional holiday meal. It's a time for reflection, gratitude, and ensuring that no family goes without during this special season.

**Holiday Cheer: Drive-Thru Christmas Event**

Our annual Drive-Thru Christmas event spreads holiday cheer by providing gifts, food, and festive joy to families across the community. This event brings smiles to faces and warmth to hearts, ensuring every family has a memorable holiday season.

**Providing Essential Supplies**

Throughout the year, we assist community members by providing essential supplies such as firewood, coal, and food to those who need it most. We are committed to supporting families and elders, especially during the colder months, to ensure everyone has the basics they need to stay warm and healthy.

**Scholarships**

Through our scholarship program, we provide financial assistance to students pursuing higher education, vocational training, and other educational opportunities. These scholarships are designed to empower individuals by removing financial barriers, helping them achieve their academic and professional goals.  We will be scouting for two underprivileged recipients to provide financial assistance for students pursuing higher education. Add the word some between removing and financial

Women's Fall Conference: Empowerment, Healing, and Growth

This fall, we are excited to host a Women's Fall Conference. A powerful gathering designed to inspire, educate, and uplift the women of our community. The conference will offer a variety of workshops, resources, and support that focus on personal healing, financial literacy, leadership, and holistic well-being. It will be a space for women to connect, share experiences, and build skills for a brighter, more empowered future.

Men’s program to support reintegration and reduce recidivism:

This year, we are creating a program for formerly incarcerated men in the community to reduce recidivism and empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives. With a blend of cultural healing, education, job training, mental health support, and community involvement, we are looking to build a holistic approach that addresses the many factors contributing to recidivism.

We keep these principles at the forefront of our collective efforts as we continue our work in creating opportunities for economic development, cultural preservation, and community wellbeing.  Your leadership, commitment and support are essential in upholding this vision, and together, we will continue to have a significant impact.
